On 15 th and 16 th February, the weather was wet and gloomy. However, it did
not affect our 29 th Sports Day at all, we really needed to thank God for that.
The schedule was tight and exciting. Among all of the events, like sprinting,
high jump, javelin throw, shot put etc, one of the most popular
events was the relay. "I enjoy watching the relay races since this
kind of race requires team spirit and this is what inspires me
the most!" A F.5 girl said. No wonder the 100M race of boys A grade
attracted all our attention. All of the athletes sprinted to the
tape as fast as a gust of wind, all of us shouted and cheered loudly.
The short-distance races were surely exciting to watch. In addition, the
long-distance race like 1500M and 3000M races were equally attractive. There
were more than 50 athletes participating in each of the race!
At the end of the Sports Day, we had our prize-giving ceremony. It did
not matter whether the participants could get medals or not, all
of us could see the sportsmanship in them since "they had done
it!"
Special Events for 30 th Anniversary
Over 50 teachers joined the special event- a competition consisting of
6 stations. First, 3 x 100M relay race; second, rope skipping;
third, blowing balloons; fourth, passing the balloon with participants
"back to back"; fifth, using a piece of cloth to deliver it and
sixth, a three-legged race. "I think this event is very interesting
and exciting. Besides, I can see the unity of our teachers and
the sense of belonging." Our teacher, Mr Choi said.
