The Music Contest was held on February 9, 2001. We all enjoyed
the professional performance of the competitors.
The theme of the Music Contest this year was "Mok's Superstar
Competition". It consisted of three parts: Instrumental group,
solo singing and group singing.
In the instrumental group, there were 4 pianists, 1 violinist and
also a percussion group of Form 1 students performing a well-known
theme of Mozart's work.
Then, it was followed by the solo and group singing. The hall was
immediately filled with passion. The audience shouted out the names
of competitors as they were introduced by the host. They also waved
banners and fluorescence sticks when their friends were singing.
Some competitors even sang and danced on the stage.
At the end of the competition, our Jazz Club performed a dance to
entertain the audience while awaiting the results. It was truly
admirable.
The Music Contest was a great success. It gave an opportunity for
students who were interested in singing and playing musical instruments
to perform in front of the whole school. We look forward to the
next Music Contest.
