Kick me if you can

From 23rd April to 30th April, our basketball ball court was crowded with lots of teachers and students, who participated in an activity held by the Sports Association, called "Kick Me If You Can!"

The activity was held by the Sports Association, and the aim was to promote football to the whole school. It was a shooting game that was inspired by a TV program. Participants needed to shoot at the nine given targets hanging under a gate.

Starting from 1:00 pm, students started queuing up. The basketball court became more and more crowded as time passed, since most of the students had finished their lunch. The corridors were also full of students who were looking for the best-kickers. They were cheering for their schoolmates too. When a shot hit the target, thundering applause and cheers echoed across the school, and gave huge support to the participants. The cheers were louder when the teachers participated in the game! Mr. Wu, Mr. Wan, Mr. Luk, Mr. Wong and many other teachers joined the game and they all performed well.

The scorekeeping for the game was done by two male students and they both shot out eight targets precisely.

"The game can greatly increase my interest in playing football! It was great and everyone enjoyed it! The Sports Association has done a great job, especially in promoting the activity. I am looking forward to other sports-based activities!" A student said, with an excitement in his voice.

Ng Yat Hei added, "Everyone has enjoyed the game very much! Fellow students are attracted by this entirely successful activity. It is a marvellous time as teachers and students can play together and encourage each other. I'm sure that the relationship between students and teachers will certainly be improved. It may even result in better efficiency in teaching! I hope that the game will continue next year."

As a whole, the activity was a huge success. Playing football was promoted to students and they showed enthusiasm about this exciting sport. It was a great time and we hope all of you could share in this fun occasion.
