S.6 English Drama

One of the traditions of our school, like the Music Contest, Sports Day and the Paper Fashion Show, the Form 6 English Drama was once again on the stage on 24th April.

In the past few years, students in each class only produced one drama, but this year it was a bit different. Students worked in teams to write and do preparation for their own drama, then teachers selected at least one performance from each class to present to all schoolmates in the school hall.

We first had Mr. Y.Y. Pang as a terrorist on stage with his students from 6A, presenting us an adventure story, "Hospital Scream". There was a violent doctor, as well as mental patients who made the hospital terrifying.

6B had two plays selected: "Keep fit: keep love? - Adapted from the popular film "Love on Diet": does true love depend on body shape? "Twenty Dollars" - a story solely about twenty dollars. Several fighting scenes between the "blood brothers" and the Dragon to get back the little sum followed.

Terrorism was such a hot issue that 6C's drama, "Star Leo", also had an unanticipated ending related to it. Nevertheless, it was a love story on Star Leo, which got its idea from Oscar's Best Picture "Titanic".

The hall was filled with laughter, cheers, cries and, of course, applause throughout the whole performance. We could obviously saw from teachers and students' keen eyes that they all were amused and pleased in this annual event with such entertaining, lively and enjoyable dramas.

With Principal's appreciation of tokens, the Form 6 English Drama came to a fruitful end - All Form 6 students had done a lot of preparation for their plays, no matter whether they were chosen or not at the final stage. Everyone had a taste of drama performance and working as a team - this was exactly what the event for.
