It was the day of the Christmas service. Early in the morning, the Christian Choir had their last practice in the hall while some students were decorating it. We decorated our classrooms, sang Christmas songs, remembered the holy birth of Jesus and reminded ourselves of the true meaning of Christmas. We were honoured to have Rev Lue Lee Buh to share important messages with us at the Christmas service.
After the Christmas service, students returned to their classrooms and had their Christmas party. In order to reduce the rubbish produced, many classes bought carton drinks instead of bottles of soft drink. They used fewer paper cups and plates than before, which helped to conserve the Earth's resources. Some form seven students went to different classrooms and shared their happiness with other lower-form students. They greeted the others by singing Christmas carols, and the atmosphere became more exciting and joyful.
Among all parts of the Christmas Service, the songs sang by our Christian Choir and our teachers inspired me the most. Besides their professional performance, the powerful lyrics from the hymns gave us a sense of happiness. We felt the warmth in our hearts and in the entire hall because we understood that our Lord, Jesus Christ loved all of us and sacrificed his life for us. Christmas is coming, let us share the joy and blessings from our Lord with our friends and families. May the spirit of the Lord be with all of us forever.
